Franklin Romero marks 10 years of legislative service in Dominican Republic

Dominican Senator Franklin Romero has marked 10 years of legislative service, reflecting on a career that began in 2016 as a deputy for the Duarte province. Representing the Modern Revolutionary Party (PRM), Romero was noted as one of the most voted deputies in his province during his initial election.

During his tenure as a deputy, Romero presented 135 legislative initiatives and resolutions. Key projects included proposals related to the Patronage Law, the San Vicente de Paúl Regional Hospital, the expansion of the 9-1-1 Emergency and Security System, and infrastructure projects such as the San Francisco de Macorís bypass and a Culture Plaza.

Since joining the Senate in 2020, his agenda has focused on citizen security, institutional strengthening, and social development, aiming to translate political representation into public policies that benefit both the Duarte province and the nation.
