Franklin Templeton closes $1.5 billion inaugural private markets CFO

Franklin Templeton has closed its inaugural Collateralized Fund Obligation (CFO), titled Franklin Templeton Structured Solutions 2026, L.P., raising $1.5 billion from global investors. The vehicle is designed to provide institutional investors with diversified exposure to various private market strategies through a single, scalable structure.

The transaction combines multiple specialized investment approaches. Lexington Partners manages exposure to private equity secondaries and continuation vehicles, while Benefit Street Partners, a Franklin Templeton subsidiary, provides exposure to U.S. middle-market direct lending.

Franklin Templeton Investment Solutions will act as the collateral manager, overseeing portfolio construction, liquidity, and risk management. The firm noted that the move responds to increasing demand from institutional clients, family offices, and insurance companies for efficient access to private market capabilities.
