Frankston and Gedling unveil community murals celebrating sport

South East Water and Frankston City Council opened a new mural in Frankston North, Victoria, painted by street artist Jimmy Dvate. The artwork on Excelsior Drive’s former milk bar highlights the role of recycled water in keeping local sporting grounds green and reflects the community’s climate‑resilience goals.

In Gedling, England, a colourful mural was added to Lambley Lane Recreation Ground. Created by local artist Alex Rubes and championed by councillor Jenny Hollingsworth, the piece celebrates the area’s sporting heritage, natural landscape and aims to deter graffiti, fostering pride among residents and park users.
