François Hollande discusses 2027 election and new books
Former French President François Hollande is actively promoting his recent literary works, including ‘Unir : nouveau monde, nouvelle gauche’ and ‘Le Défi de gouverner. La gauche et le pouvoir de l’affaire Dreyfus jusqu’à nos jours’.
During a book festival appearance in Mouans-Sartoux, Hollande addressed the upcoming 2027 presidential primary. He made a lighthearted remark regarding the potential for a female winner, a comment interpreted as a nod to his former partner, Ségolène Royal, who is currently a female candidate in the social-democratic primary.
Hollande, who currently serves as a deputy for Corrèze, continues to engage in political and historical discourse. While he has maintained ambiguity regarding his own potential candidacy for the 2027 election, he has indicated that he may reach a decision regarding his political future by December.
