Frans Malherbe provides update on injury recovery and rugby future

Veteran Springbok and Stormers scrum anchor Frans Malherbe has provided an update on his recovery from chronic neck, back, and hip injuries. The 35-year-old reported that he has begun training with his team, specifically participating in non-contact drills, and noted that he is seeing good improvement. He expressed hope to return to scrummaging in the near future.

Stormers director of rugby John Dobson stated that the club is prepared to accommodate Malherbe for game time if he becomes available, though a final decision regarding his playing future may not be made until January.
