Boston Bruins sign Fraser Minten to seven-year, $50.4M extension

The Boston Bruins have signed 22-year-old forward Fraser Minten to a seven-year contract extension worth $50.4 million. The deal, which carries an average annual value of $7.2 million, secures the center through the 2033-34 season.

Minten, a former second-round pick by the Toronto Maple Leafs, joined the Bruins in March 2025 as part of a trade involving defenseman Brandon Carlo. During the 2025-26 season, Minten appeared in 82 games, recording 17 goals and 18 assists for a total of 35 points. He also led all NHL rookies in plus-minus with a +21 rating.

Bruins General Manager Don Sweeney described the extension as a “mutual long-term commitment” that reflects the organization’s confidence in Minten’s hockey sense, competitiveness, and two-way game. The team views Minten as a foundational piece for their future roster alongside players like David Pastrnak and Charlie McAvoy.
