Fraser Valley Conservancy hosts annual native plant sale
The Fraser Valley Conservancy is hosting its annual fall native plant sale throughout September. The event offers over 40 types of native trees, shrubs, and ferns, many of which are difficult to find elsewhere.
All plants in the sale were grown in partnership with a local family business. Proceeds from the fundraiser support the Conservancy’s mission to preserve and support local biodiversity, an effort the organization has maintained since 1998.
Executive Director Joanne Neilson noted that while many gardeners focus on spring, October is an ideal time for planting larger greenery to allow roots to establish over the winter. Customers must submit orders by September 27, with pickups scheduled for October 3 in the Bradner area of Abbotsford.
