Frasers Group to convert Harvey Nichols Bristol and Leeds stores to Flannels

Frasers Group CEO Michael Murray has outlined strategic plans for the recently acquired luxury department store Harvey Nichols. Following its acquisition from administration in August, Frasers intends to convert the Harvey Nichols locations in Bristol and Leeds into Flannels stores.

However, the group plans to invest in the buildings housing the Manchester and Edinburgh stores rather than converting them to the Flannels brand. The Manchester location is scheduled for refurbishment next year. Additionally, Frasers is in discussions with the Cadogan Estate regarding a potential major overhaul of the Harvey Nichols flagship store in Knightsbridge, London.

Murray noted that Harvey Nichols maintains a distinct market position from Flannels, being more female-led and internationally recognized. Beyond the UK, Frasers is exploring international expansion for the Harvey Nichols brand through franchise partners, identifying India and Georgia as potential future markets.
