Wales: Lost cat reunited with owners after 10 years

A tabby cat named Charlie has been reunited with its owners in Wales after being missing for ten years. The cat, who was three years old when it disappeared in 2013, was found in July, coinciding with the 30th birthday of one of its owners, Lucy Robertson.

Charlie was discovered by a local resident in Abercarn, Caerphilly, who had been feeding the cat in the bushes for several weeks. The cat was subsequently taken to a veterinary clinic, where a microchip scan provided the contact information for Hannah Robertson. Despite the long period of absence, the 13-year-old cat was reported to be in good health with a thick coat.

Lucy and Hannah Robertson had spent months searching for the pet following a move from Newbridge to Abercarn in 2016. The sisters noted that the cat appeared to recognize them immediately upon their reunion.
