Fırat Akkuş demands transparency in public tenders

Fırat Akkuş of the Yeniden Refah Party has called for increased transparency and accountability regarding public tenders and resource management within the Provincial Special Administration. Akkuş raised concerns over allegations that certain tenders were conducted through negotiation methods at high costs, demanding clarity on how costs are determined and whether competitive conditions are met.

Specifically, Akkuş questioned the reported cost of a proposed 16-classroom boarding school and dormitory project in the Karakoyunlu district, which is alleged to exceed 500 million lira. He requested that the administration release the technical specifications, approximate costs, and tender details to the public. Additionally, he sought an explanation regarding the conversion of a security area in the Millet Bahçesi into a canteen.
