Fırat Bozkurt prepares for Under-17 European Boxing Championship

Fırat Bozkurt, a 16-year-old national boxer from Zonguldak, Turkey, is preparing for the Under-17 European Boxing Championship to be held in Budva, Montenegro. Following his gold medal victory at the Under-17 Turkish Individual Boxing Championship, Bozkurt is focusing his training on securing a gold medal at the continental level.

Bozkurt, who began boxing at age five, has maintained a rigorous training schedule, including six days of morning and evening sessions per week. He noted the significant personal sacrifices required for his preparation, including adjustments to his sleep and diet. Under the guidance of coach İshak Tiryaki, the athlete aims to represent Turkey on the European stage, with long-term goals including a world championship and competing in the 2032 Olympic Games.
