Fırat University Hospital launches robotic surgery system
Fırat University Hospital has launched a new robotic surgery system designed for advanced surgical applications, specifically targeting cancer surgery. The investment aims to strengthen the hospital's technological infrastructure and provide high-level healthcare services to Elazığ and the surrounding region.
Fırat University Rector Prof. Dr. Fahrettin Göktaş inspected the new system, noting that it is currently the only such system available among university hospitals located east of Kayseri. Beyond clinical use, the technology is intended to enhance medical education for young physicians and increase the institution's capacity for scientific research.
