Fırat University hosts industrial property awareness program

The Turkish Patent and Trademark Office President, Prof. Dr. M. Zeki Durak, participated in an Industrial Property Rights Awareness Program at Fırat University. During the event, Durak met with Fırat University Rector Prof. Dr. Fahrettin Göktaş to discuss academic research, patenting, industrial property rights, and the strengthening of university-industry cooperation.

In his presentation titled ‘Industrial Property and Academic Life,’ Durak addressed academics regarding the importance of intellectual property. Rector Göktaş noted that while the university has made significant progress since its founding in 1975, there is a continued need to focus on innovation, patents, and transforming academic knowledge and student potential into patent-oriented works through the support of the Turkish Patent and Trademark Office.
