Fratelli d'Italia challenges foreign-language bus advertisements in Bologna
Marta Evangelisti, leader of the Fratelli d'Italia group in the Regional Assembly, has raised a formal inquiry regarding promotional materials on Tper buses. The controversy involves the “Le cure che nutrono” campaign, an initiative by the Municipality of Bologna and the Ausl funded by 430,000 euros from the PN Metro Plus program.
Evangelisti is contesting the use of flyers that feature only Arabic, Bengali, and Urdu, arguing that Italian is marginalized in these public service advertisements. She has requested clarification from the regional government on the criteria used for language selection, asserting that public services should prioritize the Italian language to ensure accessibility and support social integration.
