Fratelli d'Italia criticizes PD over Alghero party event

The Fratelli d'Italia (FdI) party in Alghero has criticized the Democratic Party (PD) regarding the organization of the ‘Festa dell’Unità’. FdI argues that the event is a private party celebration rather than an institutional manifestation and should not involve local associations such as UNPLI and the Pro Loco.

FdI raised concerns that the involvement of Pro Loco—which are non-partisan entities representing local communities—is inappropriate given that the PD holds the majority in the Regional government and controls the budget. The party suggested that these associations might feel pressured to participate due to the public regional resources they receive. FdI has announced it has filed a request for access to the documents regarding the event to investigate the matter.
