Fratelli d’Italia discusses political convergence and local opposition in Italy
Fratelli d’Italia (FdI) and the Italian Liberal Party (Partito Liberale Italiano) have held discussions at the Chamber of Deputies to explore political and programmatic convergence. Key areas of focus include reducing tax pressure, supporting businesses, protecting families and the middle class, and addressing strategic sectors such as agriculture and road transport.
Discussions also emphasized the importance of addressing the structural disadvantages of insularity, particularly regarding Sicily. The goal is to leverage Sicily’s strategic position in the Mediterranean to foster economic development, infrastructure, logistics, and commercial exchange between Europe, North Africa, and the Middle East.
In Messina, Fratelli d’Italia has reaffirmed its stance to remain in opposition to the Basile administration. Libero Gioveni, the party's group leader in the City Council, confirmed this position following a convention in Terme Vigliatore attended by Giovanni Donzelli, the national head of the FdI Organization.
