Fratelli d'Italia faces internal political tensions in Bassano del Grappa and Ponsacco

Political tensions are escalating within the Fratelli d'Italia party across different Italian municipalities. In Bassano del Grappa, Stefano Giunta, the group leader, has accused the municipality of forgery. Giunta claims a document was issued and registered with his signature despite him never signing it, calling the act “materially and ideologically false.” The municipal secretary responded that the document was merely a draft containing the word “signed” as a standard placeholder in the signature space.

Simultaneously, in Ponsacco, a heated verbal confrontation occurred in the council chamber between Council President Roberto Russo and counselor Mario Rosario Di Candia, both members of Fratelli d'Italia. The dispute, reportedly triggered by a disagreement over seating arrangements, led to accusations of censorship. The incident has drawn criticism from opposition groups like Italia Viva, which claims the majority is fractured and questions the administration's ability to govern effectively.
