Fratelli d'Italia leads latest Italian polls as centre‑right support narrows

A recent Swg poll for Tg La7 shows Fratelli d'Italia (FdI) at 27.2 % of the vote, up 0.1 point, maintaining its position as the leading party. The centre‑left Democratic Party (PD) falls to 21.3 % and the Five Star Movement (M5S) to 12.9 %. Small‑centre party Futuro Nazionale, led by Roberto Vannacci, climbs to 6.3 %, narrowing the gap with Matteo Salvini’s Lega, which slips to 5.4 %.

Another Tecnè poll for DireeMonitor Italia records FdI at 29 %, with the governing centre‑right coalition at 44.5 % versus 44.1 % for the progressive bloc. The poll notes a high share of undecided or abstaining voters (44.6 %).

A separate Emg survey for Tg 3 e Linea Notte indicates FdI dropping to 25 %, the lowest in the current legislature, while confidence in Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni’s government falls to 34 % positive and 66 % negative. Futuro Nazionale rises slightly to 6.7 %.

Opposition parties, including the PD, M5S and Green‑Left alliance, staged a nightly sit‑in outside the Italian parliament to protest the government’s proposed electoral law and a secret‑vote amendment, accusing Meloni of undermining democratic reforms.
