Fratelli d'Italia officials raise security and urban decay concerns

Fratelli d'Italia officials in Gela and Salerno have raised alarms regarding public safety and urban maintenance. In Gela, party leader Diego Iaglietti criticized the municipal administration, arguing that cleaning efforts in local cemeteries are insufficient. He highlighted structural hazards, such as deteriorating stairs and overgrown vegetation, which pose risks to citizens, particularly the elderly, ahead of upcoming commemorations.

In Salerno, party coordinators Carlo Andreoli and Diego Zarneri reported increasing concerns regarding degradation and violence in the Via Milano and Corso Garibaldi areas. They cited resident reports of stabbings and the presence of drug dealers in local parks, making them difficult for families to use. To address these issues, the party has proposed implementing neighborhood police officers, neighborhood sanitation workers, and volunteer park patrols.
