Fratelli d'Italia proposes new rules for unaccompanied minors
Fratelli d'Italia (FDI) has proposed a ten-point plan to establish clearer regulations regarding unaccompanied foreign minors. The party highlighted that while there has been a decrease in unaccompanied minors in Friuli Venezia Giulia compared to 2022, the management of migration flows continues to impact municipal budgets.
In 2025, municipalities in the Friuli Venezia Giulia region spent over 25 million euros of their own resources on these services, which were later reimbursed by the state. FDI argues that public funds in this sector should be strictly directed toward effective integration, including language instruction, legal training, and job placement, rather than unconditional assistance.
