Fratelli d'Italia rejects DNA testing within centre‑right coalition in Puglia
Fratelli d'Italia’s regional branch in the Capitanata area of Puglia said it will not accept any DNA tests proposed by members of the centre‑right coalition. The party called for unity and constructive dialogue ahead of the 2027 local elections that will renew municipal councils in towns such as Cerignola, San Severo and San Giovanni Rotondo. It criticised internal disputes that it says have damaged the coalition’s cohesion and warned that factions acting as “dispensers of pedigrees” undermine responsible governance. The statement also noted that the Lega party had previously supported similar controversial moves, urging the coalition to focus on policy rather than “ridiculous polemics.”
