Fraud scams in Austria and Germany prompt victim case and anti‑scam lecture

In Ebreichsdorf, Austria, a woman was duped by callers posing as bank employees. On 16 June the fraudsters claimed her account had been hacked from Thailand and pressured her to transfer money at a self‑service terminal. She complied, losing a four‑digit sum in euros.
