Fraudulent scams target women in Jabalpur and Jaipur

Two separate incidents of targeted fraud involving women have been reported in Jabalpur and Jaipur.

In Jabalpur, a 56-year-old woman was robbed of gold jewelry and an iPhone-15 while on a morning walk near the Shivayala Hotel. Two suspects, claiming to be from Haridwar, approached her under the pretext of asking for a doctor's address. They convinced her that her gold jewelry was impure and causing domestic problems. After she removed her jewelry and placed it in her purse, the suspects fled on a motorcycle.

In Jaipur, a 60-year-old woman was targeted while waiting for a bus at the 200-feet intersection. Three individuals allegedly used psychological manipulation and claims of an impending family crisis to hypnotize the victim. Once she believed their claims, they coerced her into removing her gold jewelry before fleeing the scene. Police in both cities are investigating the incidents and reviewing CCTV footage to identify the perpetrators.
