Fraudulent website network sells fake AI subscriptions

An investigation has uncovered a network of more than 100 fraudulent subscription websites using a shared toolkit to sell high-priced AI services, some costing up to $2,000. These sites often impersonate established products such as GPT-6 Astra, DaVinci Resolve, PixAI, and OpenCut, or utilize the names of defunct services like Omegle.

Unlike traditional phishing attempts that use malware or fake password forms, these sites employ professional designs, secure connections, and genuine Google sign-in screens to build trust. They frequently display unverifiable claims, including inflated user counts, fake star ratings, and fabricated customer testimonials from well-known companies.

Despite varying names and visual designs, the websites share identical underlying files and closely related developer email addresses, suggesting they are operated by a single entity or a coordinated group. The scheme directs users toward paid plans and usage credits after they have authenticated through legitimate sign-in methods.
