Frauensee Nature Run and Überlingen Beach Days Spotlight German Summer Sports Festivals

From August 28‑30 2026, the SV Frauensee will host its Sport‑ and Familientage at the Sandspitze sports complex near Frauensee, featuring a quarter‑marathon, a 5.3 km cross‑run, Nordic‑walking routes, junior and bambini runs, a mixed‑team volleyball tournament, football matches, a military laser‑shooting range and family entertainment. Participants receive medals and a complimentary runner’s beer, with food stalls, a bouncy castle and other amenities throughout the three‑day weekend.

Starting on August 4, the Sparkasse Bodensee Beach Days will transform Überlingen’s landing‑place into a beach‑sport arena with 220 tonnes of sand, a band system, two stands and a large video screen. Over six days the program includes beach basketball, soccer, handball and a major beach‑volleyball competition, culminating in the Klöber Beach Cup where the Baden‑Württemberg champions will be decided. Local teams from TSV Mimmenhausen, USC Konstanz and other clubs will compete, with organizers highlighting the mix of elite and recreational sport and a lively music and bar programme.
