Frazier History Museum and Sons of the American Revolution receive $750K grant to digitize Revolutionary War artifacts

The National Endowment for the Humanities awarded a $750,000 grant to the Frazier History Museum and the Sons of the American Revolution (SAR) to digitize 250 Revolutionary War‑era objects. SAR will use $200,000 of the funds to photograph roughly 150 artifacts, creating 3‑D models that can be viewed online. The project, called “Rediscovering Our Revolutionary Tradition,” will be carried out with Indiana‑based Flyover Zone, which stitches thousands of photographs into interactive virtual models. The digitized collection will be posted to an online archive by next year and will also become part of SAR’s permanent museum display opening early next year.
