Færdselsstyrelsen to crack down on criminal activity in flex traffic sector

The Danish Road Safety and Transport Authority (Færdselsstyrelsen) has announced a strengthened effort to prevent individuals convicted of serious offenses from securing contracts within the taxi and flex traffic sectors. This move follows investigations revealing that persons with criminal records had secured multi-million kroner orders from providers such as FynBus.

Specific scrutiny has been applied to companies previously owned by Hussein and Salah Salem Al-Badri. Hussein was sentenced to 13 years in prison for drug smuggling, while Salah received a suspended sentence for leasing fraud. Although the brothers sold their companies following inspections, the authority is continuing oversight. Additionally, the company LS Busser is awaiting final approval of its leadership by January, and the former company Reliable, previously linked to Mohammed Salem Al-Badri, has lost 125 driving permits.
