FrecciaRosa 2026 brings cancer prevention services to Basilicata trains

The FrecciaRosa 2026 initiative is bringing oncological prevention services to passengers in Basilicata. Promoted by Gruppo FS and Fondazione IncontraDonna, with support from the Associazione Italiana di Oncologia Medica (AIOM), the program offers free medical information and consultations on board Trenitalia trains.

A specific session is scheduled for Wednesday, October 21, on the Intercity 701 departing from Potenza at 11:02 and arriving in Taranto at 12:55. During this event, volunteers and doctors will provide guidance and distribute the ‘Vademecum della Salute’, a health guide created in collaboration with the Ministry of Health.

Now in its sixteenth consecutive year, the project extends throughout the month of October. On weekdays, travelers on selected Frecce, Intercity, and Regional routes can access free medical advice. The initiative also allows passengers to book teleconsultations to receive further clarification from professionals and the National Health Service.
