Fred Ottman Typhoon WWE Hall of Fame professional wrestling hospitalization

WWE Hall of Famer Fred Ottman, known to wrestling fans as Typhoon, Tugboat, or The Shockmaster, has been hospitalized following an emergency room visit for an undisclosed medical issue.

In a video shared from his hospital bed, the 70-year-old Ottman announced that he will be unable to attend his scheduled appearance at the SWFL Super Card Show in Fort Myers, Florida, from September 11-13. Ottman stated that the situation was due to ‘things beyond [his] control’ and requested thoughts and prayers from fans.

This follows previous health challenges for Ottman, who underwent surgery earlier this year after a gallbladder issue. Ottman was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2025 as part of the Natural Disasters tag team.
