Fred Rodrigues maintains incomplete higher education status for 2026 candidacy

Fred Rodrigues, a candidate for federal deputy in the 2026 elections, maintains a registration of incomplete higher education with the Electoral Court. This status follows a controversy during his 2024 campaign for the Mayor of Goiânia, where he publicly claimed to be a law graduate.

During the 2024 municipal race, the Pontifical Catholic University of Goiás (PUC Goiás) informed the court that Rodrigues had not graduated or received a diploma, noting he still required 200 hours of complementary activities to complete his degree. Following this, his registration was corrected to incomplete higher education. Rodrigues previously stated he had finished his coursework and thesis, with only the graduation ceremony and complementary hours remaining. His current 2026 registration reflects that his academic status remains unchanged.
