Fred Warner fined over $100,000 by NFL for multiple violations

San Francisco 49ers linebacker Fred Warner has been fined a total of $107,466 by the NFL for four violations during the 2026 season. The most recent disciplinary action stems from a 23-17 victory over the Washington Commanders on October 19, where the league assessed two separate fines in the fourth quarter.

Warner was fined $47,762 for unnecessary roughness involving the illegal use of his helmet and $17,911 for a hit on a defenseless player. These penalties bring his cumulative seasonal fines to over $107,000.

In addition to his disciplinary record, Warner has returned to elite form following a fractured ankle that sidelined him last season. He currently ranks third in the league in tackles and ties for the lead in forced fumbles, utilizing the ‘Peanut Punch’ technique to disrupt opponents.
