Freddy Quinn celebrates 95th birthday after years of retirement

German Schlager legend Freddy Quinn is celebrating his 95th birthday on September 27. After decades of immense popularity, Quinn withdrew from the public eye in 2008 following the death of his partner, Lilli Blessmann.

Quinn has since transitioned to a private life, moving from his long-time residence in Hamburg to a secluded farmhouse in Schleswig-Holstein with his wife, Rosi, whom he married in 2023. In a rare 2025 interview regarding his autobiography, ‘Wie es wirklich war’, the singer addressed past misconceptions about his life.
