Fredi Bobić lauds safety in Poland and warns Legia Warsaw is too business‑focused

Former German international striker Fredi Bobić, now sporting director of Legia Warsaw, said he has never felt as safe as he does in Poland, praising the country’s clean streets, modest people and clear rules. He added that Germany, his homeland, is currently facing many problems.

Bobic also evaluated Legia’s recent years, noting that while the club enjoys strong training facilities and a solid European pedigree, it has become overly preoccupied with business matters at the expense of football. He stressed that the team’s primary goal should be winning the Polish championship and that football must remain the top priority. Under his tenure, Legia started the current season with two wins and leads the PKO Bank Polski Ekstraklasa table.
