Fredrikstad housing market faces slow sales trends
The housing market in the Fredrikstad/Sarpsborg area of Norway is currently experiencing slow growth and sluggish sales. According to statistics from Eiendom Norge, the region is among the slowest in the country, with an average time to sell a home exceeding 90 days.
Despite these challenging conditions, some individual sales have defied the trend. One homeowner in Fredrikstad managed to sell his property in just ten days, securing 100,000 NOK above the asking price. However, real estate professionals note that the market now requires significantly more effort, as sales are no longer occurring automatically. Current listings in the Greåker area, such as a 119-square-meter townhouse priced at 5.1 million NOK, are expected to take longer to sell, likely closer to the asking price.
