Free children's holiday programs launch in Piauí and Paraíba, Brazil

The SESC network in the state of Piauí opened registrations for its "Brincando nas Férias" project. The program will run in Teresina from 6‑17 July and in Parnaíba from 13‑24 July, offering activities such as painting, playground circuits, cinema sessions, swimming, storytelling and creative workshops for children aged 5‑12. Registration is open online until late June, with on‑site enrollment available through early July.

Meanwhile, the Funesc agency in the state of Paraíba has started its "Férias Funesc" schedule for the first week of July, providing free cultural events for children in João Pessoa, Campina Grande, Cabedelo and Cajazeiras. The lineup includes workshops, circus, dance, music, theater, visual arts, and film screenings at local cultural centers and theaters. All activities are free except a paid planetarium session in João Pessoa, which charges a nominal fee.

Both initiatives aim to offer free, supervised recreational and educational experiences to children during school holidays across the two northeastern states.
