Free Cultural and Science Shows Draw Audiences in Brazil's Riacho Fundo and Goiânia

The community theatre production “Janelas” is being staged for free at the Riacho Fundo Community Hall from July 31 to August 2. Inspired by Franz Kafka’s *The Process* and the seven deadly sins, the play explores themes such as alienation, guilt and modern bureaucracy, using projections, videos and digital language. It also offers a dramaturgy workshop for locals and includes accessibility services like audio description and sign‑language interpretation.

Meanwhile, the “Science Place Show” and the “Joaninha Teimosa” workshop bring interactive science experiments to children aged 4‑12 in Goiânia’s Setor Aeroviário on July 25‑26. The free shows demonstrate concepts of electricity, mechanics, environmental science and atmospheric pressure, while the workshop lets participants move a foam ball’s centre of mass to observe scientific principles. Registration requires a donated toy, and the events are hosted at the Pekids space in the shopping centre.
