Free Fire World Series announces 2026 Global Finals and 2027 format changes

The Free Fire World Series (FFWS) is undergoing structural changes. Starting in 2027, the FFWS Southeast Asia (SEA) regional qualification era will end, replaced by individual national competitions in Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam, and Malaysia. In Indonesia, the champion and runner-up of each season will receive direct qualification to the FFWS Global Finals. Teams ranking third through fifth will compete for a final spot via a Last Chance Qualifier.

For the 2026 FFWS Global Finals, scheduled to take place in Bangkok, Thailand, from November 6 to 28, the tournament will expand to include 24 teams, up from the previous 18. The event will consist of a Knockout Stage, a Last Chance qualifier, and a Grand Final at BITEC LIVE. The 2026 lineup includes teams from various regions, including the return of Indian teams to the World Series after a seven-year hiatus.
