Free Music Festivals Light Up Palencia and Galicia in Spain

The "Música en la Montaña Palentina" festival took place on Saturday night in Aguilar de Campoo, Palencia, offering free admission and performances by Iván Ferreiro, the band Sexy Zebras and DJ Héctor Calderón. The event was held on the beach of Virgen del Llano and featured a coordinated transport plan, including free shuttle buses from Aguilar and nearby towns such as Cervera de Pisuerga, Salinas, Barruelo, Herrera, Reinosa and Mataporquera, as well as designated parking zones for private vehicles.

In the Galician town of Xuvia, veteran singer Javier Gurruchaga and his band, formed in 1976, shared the stage with Orquesta Mondragón to celebrate the latter's five‑decade history. Gurruchaga reflected on the current music industry, noting that releasing new records has become difficult and that the business now focuses more on live shows.
