Free Shakespeare play and Plein Air art festival draw crowds in Driggs, Idaho

Montana Shakespeare in the Parks presented a free, traveling performance of "Much Ado About Nothing" on the Teton County Courthouse lawn in Driggs, Idaho, on Wednesday evening. An Old West pre‑show by the nonprofit ACT Foundation began at 5:30 p.m., followed by the play at 6 p.m. Local vendors – the Corn Dog Company, Citizen 33 Brewery and Two Mountain Winery – provided food and drinks. Audio‑accessibility options included borrow‑able FM receivers, headphones and a free streaming app; inclement weather would move the show inside Teton High School.

Meanwhile, downtown Driggs hosted the Plein Air Festival, turning the streets into an outdoor studio for painters from across the United States. Artists such as Min Zhong, Blake Luther and Sam Guindon highlighted local landmarks, including a bison sculpture atop a Main Street building, as inspiration for their work. The festival continues with artists displaying and selling their completed pieces throughout Teton Valley.
