Free Som quartet performs at Praça Anchieta in Ubatuba
The Free Som quartet performed at Praça Anchieta in Ubatuba as part of the ‘Música na Praça’ project. This initiative is a collaboration between the Associação Lira Padre Anchieta and the Fundação de Arte e Cultura de Ubatuba (Fundart).
The quartet, featuring Wanderley Alves, Raphaé Prado, Gisele Pilz, and Pablo Figuin, performed an instrumental repertoire including samba, bossa nova, baião, choro, and jazz improvisation. The project provides free cultural programming to residents and tourists.
Durval Netto, president of Fundart, stated that the organization is committed to spreading local musical talent and providing accessible entertainment. Other scheduled performances for August include the Retreta Maestro Pedrinho on the 16th and the Banda Lira Padre Anchieta on the 23rd, with Free Som returning on the 30th.
