Free Spirit Run Giurgiu – Ruse to host 400 athletes

The ninth edition of the international road race, ‘Free Spirit Run Giurgiu – Ruse’, is scheduled for September 27. The event will feature over 400 athletes representing more than 12 countries, including participants from Bulgaria, Romania, and Kenya.

The 15-kilometer race will begin at 11:00 AM from the central square of Giurgiu, cross the Danube Bridge, and conclude in the center of Ruse. Due to the competition, traffic on the Danube Bridge will be suspended for one hour, from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM.

Prominent Bulgarian athletes, such as Militsa Mircheva, Milka Mihaylova, Devora Avramova, Marinela Nineva, Ivan Andreev, and Ismail Senandzhi, are expected to participate, along with veteran runner Mikhail Terziev. The event concludes with an official awards ceremony in Ruse starting at 1:00 PM.
