FREE STYLE Inc. launches OBAKEIDORO 2 on Nintendo Switch worldwide

FREE STYLE Inc. announced that its sequel OBAKEIDORO 2: Chase & Seek is now available globally on the Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2 via the Nintendo eShop. Director Katsu Tanaka highlighted that the game builds on the 2019 original, offering a "scary‑cute" asymmetric multiplayer experience inspired by traditional Japanese legends.

The title pits up to eight players against each other in three‑minute rounds, with one or two players controlling monsters and the remaining players as humans. Monsters can pass through walls and use special attacks, while humans rely on teamwork, lanterns, and rescue mechanics. Custom Rules and Game Share features let players adjust monster‑to‑human ratios, time limits, and enable local co‑op without a separate copy. A character DLC bundle is also available at launch.
