Free youth sports programs open in Governador Valadares and Valinhos

In Governador Valadares, children and adolescents aged 7 to 18 can register for free bocce and football classes offered by the Programa Nacional Paradesportivo III. The program, run by the Associação Nacional de Desporto para Deficientes (ANDE) with support from Vale, targets students with disabilities but also welcomes non‑disabled participants. Classes are held at the Praça de Esportes on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at multiple times throughout the day, and registration is free on‑site.

In Valinhos, the municipal Secretaria de Esportes e Lazer has resumed its sports schools after a July break, offering slots in football, zumba, senior basketball (60+) and table tennis. Activities take place at several city venues such as the Clube Municipal and the Ginásio Municipal, with schedules varying by sport.
