Freebox to replace McAfee SafeFamily parental controls with Surfie

Freebox subscribers using McAfee SafeFamily parental controls must prepare for a transition to a new solution called Surfie. The current McAfee service is scheduled to cease functioning on September 1, 2026.

According to reports, the migration to Surfie will not be automatic. Affected users will need to manually activate the new service through their Subscriber Space. Because settings such as blocked applications, permitted schedules, and specific rules for children will not transfer automatically, users are advised to record their current configurations to avoid having to reconstruct them from scratch.
