Kentucky MAGA festival canceled after selling only 6 VIP tickets

The Patriots Day Freedom Fest, a MAGA-themed political event scheduled for September 26 in Morning View, Kentucky, has been canceled due to poor ticket sales. The festival, organized by Eric Deters, was intended to feature speakers and guests including Kid Rock, Duane ‘Dog the Bounty Hunter’ Chapman, and U.S. Representative James Comer.

The event’s financial model relied on selling 100 VIP tickets priced at $1,000 each to cover the costs of the festival, as general admission and parking were to be free. However, only six VIP tickets were sold, generating just $6,000 in revenue. Deters announced the cancellation via social media, expressing frustration with wealthy associates he expected to support the event.

Kid Rock’s representative stated that the singer was added to the lineup only five days before the cancellation and was booked to speak rather than perform, noting he has no other ties to the event. Deters vowed he would never host the festival again.
