Freedom Festival 2026 tour launches in Grimsby, then visits Goole, Bridlington and Tadcaster

The Freedom Festival Arts Trust’s 2026 touring programme began on Monday 31 August in People’s Park, Grimsby, as part of its “Peace” themed outdoor arts festival. The tour will continue to West Park in Goole on 1 September, The Spa in Bridlington on 4 September and includes a stop in Tadcaster before the main weekend of installations, street theatre and performances in Hull city centre from 3‑6 September.

Festival director Phil Hargreaves said the tour aims to bring “the energy and creativity of the festival…right on their doorstep”. Audiences can expect a mix of circus, dance and street theatre, featuring works such as the gravity‑defying Spinsane by Racehorse Company, the playful Lilliput by Tombs Creatius and the striking Otempodiz by ERTZA. The free, outdoor events are intended to increase access to high‑quality cultural experiences across the north of England.
