Freedom Holding Rebrands Turkish Bank as Freedom Bank after Share Transfer Completion

Freedom Holding Corp., through its subsidiary Freedom Finansal Hizmetler A.Ş., completed the acquisition of 99.31% of Turkish Bank's share capital on 31 July 2026. The transaction received approval from Turkey's Banking Regulation and Supervision Agency (BDDK) and the Competition Authority.

Following the share transfer, a general assembly approved changing the bank’s commercial name to Freedom Bank A.Ş. and filed the amendment with the Turkish Trade Registry. A new board of directors was appointed: Vladimir Pochekuev as chairman, Timur Turlov (founder and CEO of Freedom Holding) joining the board, Hikmet Cenk Eynehan as general manager and board member, and Furkan Evranos and Ayşe Hale Yıldırım as board members.

Freedom Holding said the acquisition provides an immediate regulatory foothold in Turkey and will bring its Kazakhstan‑origin “SuperApp” financial‑services ecosystem to the Turkish market, focusing on strengthening capital, upgrading technology and expanding digital channels.
