Freedom Holding CEO Timur Turlov targets global fintech competition

Timur Turlov, founder and CEO of Nasdaq-listed Freedom Holding Corp., aims to transform the Kazakhstan-based company into a global financial platform. Turlov has expressed ambitions to compete directly with Revolut, noting that while he views the UK-based fintech as a benchmark, he believes Freedom’s ecosystem can expand further across multiple markets.

Freedom Holding Corp. operates in 24 countries, offering an integrated ecosystem through its ‘Freedom SuperApp,’ which includes brokerage, banking, insurance, and telecommunications services. For the fiscal year ending March 31, 2026, the holding company reported revenue of $2.19 billion and assets totaling $13.16 billion. The company’s banking customer base grew to over 5 million users during that period.

Turlov, a Forbes-listed billionaire with an estimated net worth of $7.3 billion as of August 2026, has led the company’s expansion from Central Asia into regions including Türkiye, Tajikistan, and Europe.
