Freedom Holding Corp. outlook upgraded to positive by S&P Global

S&P Global Ratings has revised the long-term credit rating outlook for Freedom Holding Corp. and its four primary subsidiaries from stable to positive. This decision follows a more favorable assessment of the banking sector risk in Kazakhstan, the group's main market.

While the outlook has improved, the underlying credit ratings remain unchanged: the subsidiaries are confirmed at BB-/B and the parent company, Freedom Holding Corp., remains at B-. Additionally, S&P upgraded the national scale ratings for Freedom Finance JSC and Freedom Bank Kazakhstan JSC from kzA- to kzA.

The revision is the second positive rating action for the group since June 2026. S&P also improved its sector risk assessment for Kazakhstan from 7 to 6, citing enhanced banking supervision, capital accumulation, and sovereign strength. Furthermore, following Kazakhstan's sovereign rating upgrade to BBB/A-2, S&P revised the country's economic risk assessment to positive.
