FREELANDER to launch international brand in Abu Dhabi

The British high-end intelligent off-road vehicle brand FREELANDER is set to hold its international launch on September 29 at the Emirates Palace Mandarin Oriental in Abu Dhabi. This event marks a major step in the brand's global expansion, with the United Arab Emirates serving as its first international market. To support this rollout, the brand has established local dealership partnerships with Al Tayer Motors in Dubai and the Northern Emirates, and Premier Motors in Abu Dhabi.

Ahead of the launch, the brand's strategic model, the FREELANDER 8, achieved a Guinness World Record in the Tibet region of China. The vehicle, an Extended Range Electric Vehicle (EREV) developed through a collaboration between Chery and Jaguar Land Rover, reached an altitude of 6,002.33 meters. This feat sets a new world record for hybrid vehicles, surpassing the previous record held by BYD. The FREELANDER 8 features 818 hp and utilizes a 1.5-liter turbo engine acting as a generator to maintain performance in low-oxygen environments.
